| Faith Leaders’
Forum
The first annual summit of Louisville’s faith leaders will take place in 2007. Designed as both an occasion for faith leaders to meet and get to know each other across faith traditions and an opportunity to self-identify causes and concerns worthy of further attention by these leaders, the Faith Leaders’ Forum will result in many smaller, ongoing gatherings centered on topics that emerge from these interactions. |

| For Our Own Good: A unique exploration of the many issues surrounding youth and violence, including how violence affects youth, the causes of violence by and against youth, and inspired solutions. For Our Own Good: Louisville Responds to Youth Violence will be a city-wide focused project for both education and dialogue and will address the issues of youth violence in every area of society. This program will be inaugurated with a week-long symposium that brings together both citizens and those local organizations across disciplines who have studied these issues to build networks, exchange ideas, and connect innovative solutions to Metro Louisville. Together, participating organizations will coordinate their program content around the theme of youth violence to bring about an unparalleled focus on one of our most pressing social issues. |

An exciting new addition to the program line-up, CIR, working in conjunction with Carmichael’s Bookstores, has already brought to Louisville such renowned authors as Mitch Albom (Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven) and Bruce Feiler (Walking the Bible, Abraham and Where God Was Born) for lectures and book signings that are free and open to the public. Louisville appearances by other such distinguished authors of interfaith interest continue throughout the year. |
